I found a magazine called Family Tree. There are several books on genealogy, but this is the only genealogy magazine I know of. If you know others, please email and I will post links to them here.

A 100 acre land warrant is in St. Margaret's Parish for Richard Medling 1727.
Only Court Minutes have survived for Caroline County, Virginia's early records.  He was not mentioned again.  If he ever lived there, evidently only briefly.

Richard Medlin purchased land in 1728 from Jacob Odom of Nansemond County, Virginia when he was in Bertie County, North Carolina.  Jacob Odom, or another, was living in Bertie County by 1738 or earlier according to deeds.  Bertie County, North Carolina Deed Bk. A, April 7, 1713 Richard Odom of Upper Parish Nansemond County, Virginia, power of attorney to Daniel Magee.
